Purchased a bone stock 96 S1 in 2001. Customized and enjoyed until 2012. Stolen and returned in 2015. After much going on in my life (including divorce) I am ready to get her back on the road!I have her cleaned up and parts reattached. The last piece I need to fire her up is the ignition switch. The switch was cut and will need to be replaced. A stock switch, an aftermarket or even just a simple on/off switch although I am not sure how to wire it. I do see an ignition for sale on ebay for 100 and if that's the route I should take I'm game Any help would be appreciated!! Pics show Before/ Stolen and returned/ How she looks currently! Keith

Wow, nice job, if you want it to run like it looks, all she needs is some porting,1250 ,536's and xb12 or 9, then it would be the bomb! |

Sweet looking Lightning. I read about you getting it back. Glad you've got it back together. If you want a factory switch I've got one for you. Shot me a PM. (Message edited by Ralph on September 17, 2016) |

Really cool build. Very minimal. I saw you post on Framecrafters, Inc. Didn't realize you were on here. Can't wait to get mine back from them and get some riding time in. |

Thanks Giovanni! I'm close to getting her to fire up. Then need a tail light and maybe another headlight....so close! |

By the way, how do you keep the chain from cutting into the swingarm? |

Like the story. Like the design. Nice airfilter and sprocket guard. Thought of this bike for some reason.

Good to see you're getting it back on track! Is the brake lever a home made part or did you drill some extra holes in it? |
