Just finished the last track-day for the season here in Edmonton (Stratotech Raceway). Man, I love this Buell! If you want to become a better rider, don’t pass up the opportunity to experience a track-day. I intend to sign up for all six next year! I had no idea just how hard these little suckers could BRAKE!!!!! And the way they glide through corners!!!!! Mind you, you’re gonna need lots of cash for new tires, blistered mine up pretty good in three track-days (Dunlop D208s). But the best part was when the racers would stop by in the pits and comment on how well the Buell handled, and how loud it was when they were coming up behind it (I have the Buell Race exhaust), they said it was painful...I said, well then, why don’t you just stay behind?!?! |

Cool pic! But the lack of frame sliders gives me the heebie jeebies! Why the axle sliders, but no frame slider? Get thyself to a buell dealer. $35 or so for some very nicely engineered stick on's. And dude... you have a headlight "out" (Message edited by reepicheep on October 12, 2004) |

Reep...funny you should mention the frame pucks...had them on order from local stealer TWICE now. First time, some newbie parts guy deleted the order. Waited one month, no sliders...had to reorder. Oddly, they showed up this week! Go figure. Gowin...the axle sliders were fabricated by yours truly using skateboard wheels, threaded rod, and hard plastic tubing "spacers" from Home Depot. Total cost for all four around $35.00Cdn (that's about $20.00 US I guess). Headlight out, funny, never noticed, but I bet you like the invisible turn signals eh?!?! |
