Are the paint codes known for repainting, stock colors, or touch up paint? Are replacement decals available? Thanks |

Paint codes are here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/3595.html?1405705516 However, those codes may be for a non-environmentally-friendly paint type that cannot be obtained. Still, the codes should match to something else. I've also found a good spray can touch-up for Snap Red, if that's what you're looking at. Have to go to the garage to find it, if so. Decals, I'm not sure, but there is, or was, a Badwebber who had paint screens made up. He may be able to make more. I'd have to look through old email to find him. |

Hey Court, which Parkway Blue? I think there were three. The one that most refer to as "Parkway Blue" is the purpleish one. But you know that, another one of your "Remind me to tell you" stories... Had an interesting conversation with Erik at one of the homecomings back in the day. There were three S2's right next to each other. The "purple" one, mine and a Caribbean blue. All were factory paint, not redone. All three were different. Erik was a bit confused then remembered the purple paint story.. Turns out mine was an original Parkway Blue before the "purple paint" incident. So, there are actually three different blue colors for 1995-1996. Also, here's a link from a year or so ago... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=47623&post=2342778#POST2342778 |

There is only 1 color officially named Parkway Blue. It did not have the variance in color that the other colors of the era did. Pics or it didn't happen Bluzm2... 1313 |

Brankin, check out my profile pic. Sitting next to a Parkway Blue or a Caribbean Blue they are all very different. Hey, I'm just going by what the man himself told me... |

Black Sapphire could vary from a very dark - almost black shade of blue to a mid- tone "purplish- blue". I had some Black Sapphire parts replaced (tailsection blistered, and fairing damaged) in 1994 and the first two tail sections we received were way too purple - the third matched. We also bought some of the demo fleet S2s after the Sturgis event was over (in 1995) and two were Black Sapphire. Outside in the sun, those two parked alongside mine (I probably still have photo) - all three were distinctly different shades of Black Sapphire. Parkway Blue was definitely more purple than blue and Caribbean Blue was more of a traditional blue shade. I think I have pieces of all three colors, and I can take photos if I can send them to someone to load them. For some reason I seem to struggle with posting photos. |

R send them to me and I'll load . . . The "Story of Parkway Blue" was in the epic reading . . . "25 Years of Buell". :-) I think I had the only factory Parkway Blue S1 |

I took some photos this evening but under the fluorescent lights the color differences do not photograph very well. I'll photograph them outside this weekend. Parkway Blue S1? Barney... |

Chris, the early S2s had the curvy fender as in Brad profile pic. The later '95s and all '96s had the later S2 fender that doesn't have access holes for the mounting screws in the front. I also believe RS fenders had a slightly longer nose than the early S2 fenders. |

>>>>Parkway Blue S1? Barney... Yes Sir. Still have the helmet sitting here on the desk. It was painted at the same time as the carbon fiber bodywork. 5 coasts of Parkway Blue, then the gray BUELL stickers and 7 coats of clear. |

which Parkway Blue? I think there were three. Only one color named Parkway Blue no matter how you slice it. Pics that Screamer sent me:
From L to R; Black Sapphire, Parkway Blue, Carribean Candy Blue. P.S. What's that white stuff? Looks COLD to me... (Message edited by 1313 on November 17, 2014) |

1313 - thanks for posting (someday I'll learn what I'm doing wrong). The white stuff is nature's "heated gear indicator". I deliberately waited until there was snow in the photo - just to confirm you made the right decision by choosing to live in the Carolinas. Plus - I think something is wrong with weather.com this morning. It states its 7 degrees in Muskego... An additional comment on the photos, the center Parkway Blue tailsection is much more "purple"than the photo indicates. The Black Sapphire fairing happens to have less of the pearl blue tint than the paint on some of the other pieces. None of the blue tint shows in the photo. |

I concur on the colors. The Parkway Blue will look somewhat ( not exact) familiar to folks who recall when ford used something like it on a mustang. |

Brankin, The blue on my S2 is different that the above Parkway and Caribbean. That's why I asked Erik. The bike has never been repainted, it's just different than any of other blues. Wish I could put them side by side again. I think I have a caribbean blue tank cover laying around, I'll see if I can get a decent picture of it along side my S2. Interesting any way you look at it though. Neat stuff! Brad |
