So here I sit at the gas station stuck with a broken key on my 2003 XB9S...the key broke off in the gas cap and now have no way of getting home. Any suggestions would be grateful!! |

option 1. if you have friends: call a friend with a pick-up truck or trailer option 2. if you have money, but no freinds: call a locksmith and they should be able to cut you a key from a Volvo blank option 3. if you have neither money nor friends: take off your flyscreen and hotwire it. there is a 4-wire duetsh connector off the back of the key switch. unplug it and make a jumper with a paperclip or some wire. tape over it so it won't fall out on your ride home. after you make it home; get a job and make friends with your co-workers. |

look on the bright side; you've got a full frame of gas, and you are stuck at a gas station, not on the side of some lonesome highway. while you wait for your amigos or locksmith, you can go inside and make nice with the attendant. ... if she's pretty. but the odds are she's not or its a dude |

Not too bad of a deal. 25 bucks and two keys later the ole Buell is back down the road. Got a ride back from a hot little number so I could get my truck and now we are off riding. Haha. |
