Okay, so I've changed the plugs, checked the compression, checked the plug wires, installed a new EBR ECM... still the bike pops, sputters and sometimes stalls when starting from a stop!

I have to rev it up a little to get rolling, then it bogs a little until the revs get up, then it pulls like a freight train.

Picking up new intake seals today... probably won't have time to install them for a while... Has anyone had similar problems?

I love my bike but I am getting a little tired of it running like this!?!

Have you done a proper tps reset?

It's an '08... I've done 20 TPS resets!

I am also planning to check/clean the IAC when I do the instake seals.

Before you go tearing stuff apart, do the carb cleaner spray test for the seals.

If you have some miles on the bike you may also want to check for carbon build up on the throttle plate edge. TPS reset is very important and will not be accurate if the plate cannot close all of the way.

"I love my bike but I am getting a little tired of it running like this!?!". Yep I know THAT feeling. Stick with it though as all can be fixed in the end.

Sounds a bit like a damaged wire, plugs, plug leads. Like something moving about, maybe? I would check that sort of stuff first.

Make sure all your ground points are cleaned and tight.

08 model make sure to check the ground off the battery to the frame. Take off, sand contact on frame and connector and use a star washer.

I was having the same symptoms on my 09. Installed EBR ecm, O2 sensor, TPS and cleaned the IAC. (It was pretty dirty). It still wasn't running right. Ordered a new IAC ($169) . It's running great now.

So I changed my intake seals last night... I figured it was worth a shot! $9 and a few hours would be insignificant if it improves the way my bike runs!

Finished at 1am... I was exhausted. I started it to make sure I got everything back together properly.

The idle actually sounds different! I let it idle for a couple of minutes then went a few hundred feet down the road. Felt like low end throttle response was better (it used to almost bog at low RPM).

I also cleaned some grounds while I was at it... So I can't say for sure what made the difference.

Hopefully tonight I'll get the fork seals and bushings changed so I can take it for a ride and see for sure!

On a side note: My IAC was spotless.
