I see more 07 ECMs for sale than I do 06. Can the 06 programming be flashed onto an 07 ECM? |

I wouldn't reflash it, the 07 has better fuel maps. Get it, an 07 inner airbox cover (or open airbox kit), and enjoy. |

Are there any drawbacks to using an 07 on an 06? What about the difference in fan logic? |

There are no differences other than the fuel maps. The maps were changed to accommodate thd different (more flowing) inner airbox lid. |

My Uly is an 06. I upgraded to the 07 inner air box (better flow) my fuel economy dropped down to the low 30's. So I had the 07 fuel map flashed onto my 06 ECM to restore everything back to normal. So unless you are going to put the 07 air box cover on your bike,you'll just mess things up. |

I downloaded the 07 ecm files and flashed the 06 ecm. It ran great at WOT but like crap everywhere else. I flashed back to the 06 and then manually changed the fuel numbers from the 07 to the 06. I had already ventilated my air box. This seemed to work well with some slight tweeking. It still pings on really hot days and ethanol but that's the fault of the gas. Damn politicians! |

Tootal, where do you get the stock files? I have the full version of ECMSpy and I'd like to be able to reflash my 06. |
