Repaired the headstock Earths? The indicators and heated grips are working again. Checked the contacts on the starter switch, gave them a clean but they are fine. It still needs a good push to make it work so not sure on that one.

I have changed the "pin move in block" under the cowl version of the "both on" headlight mod to the "solder bridge across switch" version. I find this version easier to do anyway. The HID light is not cutting out, on start up, now but we will see how it goes on that one. No point having them if you have to waste power re-starting the bike again. I would say this is the best way to do it just make sure you do not loose the contact pin/button of the "pass" switch. You will NOT be able to replace it.

It seems to me that it is a good idea to run a un-switched fused 20amp Live and Earth silicon cables, covered in two layers of heat shrink tubing, direct from the battery to the head cowl. This will fix all the Earth problems, as it can be used as a second Earth point, and the Live feed will cover all extras IE Air Horn, aftermarket heated grips, Aux lighting etc. It is something I should have done from the start as it would have made things MUCH easier and saved a lot of time as well.

The battery charge/standby unit works great. Even with lots of "on/off starting" you can see its put "charge" back into the battery. I love it and it should be built into all bikes. Whats 20$ on top of a 15,000$ bike anyway. A no brainer if you ask me.

One more reason for the gypsies to take it from you. Sleep with one eye and ear open.

"One more reason for the gypsies to take it from you. Sleep with one eye and ear open." LOL I sure hope it doesn't happen, of course, but funny stuff, Eglider.

"LOL I sure hope it doesn't happen". And I am TELLING YOU IT DOES. I check first that my bike is "still there" BEFORE I bother to put on my gear. And if anyone does not know just remember you have maybe $10,000 worth of bike that is as easy to take, for the Pros, as picking up a "six pack" from your local gas station. Its easy money for them.
