Already saw that. It's a $2K bike on a good day. I'd offer him $2K but, I'd be afraid he would take it and I'd have another damn project. It WAS a black sapphire pearl. Poor bike. Reminds me of this Buell "Thunderbird": http://santafe.craigslist.org/mcy/3394303777.html

Off Topic: you guys gotta show me how that air cleaner mount works. I dig the canted look of the original RS1200, have a SE Air Cleaner in the garage waiting on a spacer |

That air cleaner had an angled backing plate. What kind of spacers are you waiting on? I have a couple of the ones that are the aluminum threaded stand-offs that the A/C outer cover screws thread into. Came from a CA S2T with that stupid Quicksilver carb. Parts are very serviceable though a bit charred when that POS carb decided to try to light the bike on fire. If they are the ones you need, I'll pop them in the mail. PM me if any questions. Al |

That's a project alright. Real shame. "Textured" paint sounds like bedliner! That blue tarp suggests it's stored outside. Doesn't even check his spelling! Pass! |

Its amazing where and how they show up for only 398 {s2T] made..I often wonder how many do exist of the 95-96 S2/S2t versions..If they could all tell us thier story, im sure we would be blown away.. That one appears to have bin around the block a few times, but still actually complete...Hb |

I put in a super low 1500 bid. Honestly if you start from a good one and work bnackwards money wise, that's probably fair. felt bad, but hey there's a lot of work there. |

I am gonna check out Rex's stuff before I do anything, this is the first S2 I've seen pop up in AZ in awhile. Too bad it is so far gone. |

If that's a 95, why doesn't it have a white frame? |

FYI: That frame has bin painted that color..The S2T had a darker kinda parkerized color..That frame woulda bin white! The vin # shows its a 1995 S2.. the 4th digit is an R, and the 10th digit is an S R= S2 F=S2T S=1995 T=1996 It is fairly complete tho if one looks closely at it..Hb |

Vin shows it to be #1299 of 1399,1995 S2.. Take note, the battery box area is still white. |

Two years before that in 1997 I saw mine and another S2T on the showroom floor of Deeley's house of Buell with upgraded lightning heads and a price of 18,000 and change. They where not a big seller. I didn't have the spare cash at the time but I knew one day I would buy that model of bike. Two years went by and I freed up some money for a new bike and I went looking for a Buell. Now it was 1999 and the two S2T's were gone and I just didn't like the way the S3T fit me. Well a longer story made shorter, I saw an ad in the paper for a 96 S2T and I made a deal for $10,000 including a 3 year warranty, a jacket, gloves, and a Buell helmet. It was one of the two S2T's I had looked at in the Buell showroom 2 years earlier and I got it at a bargin! I have owned over a 100 motorcycles in my collecting carreer and will always own my S2T. It went away about 10 years ago when I had the NRHS 1250 kit installed. |
