After I got to work this morning I noticed the evidence of something dripping on and staining the starter. Drooping over to look I find this wonderful sight:

Improper Tranny Vent Line Routing

I should've dug deeper when I got it back from some warranty service and noticed they didn't route it properly with the comfort kit under the seat, and should've checked elsewhere as well...

I remember some back and forth years ago about proper tranny vent line routing, but don't remember the outcome as I didn't ever think I would own a Uly.

Can someone clarify proper tranny vent line routing for me?

Don't worry. That is just the starter oiling system.

Yay! You now have an excuse to rotate your engine, get your header ceramic coated, put in the xb9 primary, check your primary chain tensioner and clean up the spooge under the starter.

The way I did it was out the right side, zip tied it to the black plastic oil line holder above the sprocket cover, and then over the starter to the opposite side of the frame where it's held in by those plastic tree fasteners. I had to take the starter out to get to the nipple the vent hose attaches to. Would have been easier to just put a barb fitting hose splice in.
