Carbon fiber body has about a 10" crack down the length of the can. I plan to repack it and duck tape/gorilla tape it for a couple of weeks while I sort out my next move.... any thoughts on a cheapo quick patch to get me through? I already have new packing material.... track day coming up in a couple weeks too

thanks.

This is pretty normal with this can, unfortunately.

Send it back to FMF and ask for a Stainless wrap. They did mine on warranty and repacked with a stainless steel wool much less prone to blow out.

They really do support the product.

I've replaced mine twice! both times no repack was indicated! They replaced my SS with titanium. They said I should repack every 5k instead of 10k. instead of duct tape get worm drive hose clamps. You can pick them up at home depot for a few bucks. I got by using them but that pressure will start putting cracks at any weak point since the packing is probably shot!

contact FMF before you do anything ghetto to fix it. They've been great in the past and i'd be surprised if they didn't hook you up.

Why not let FMF fix it for free and then sell off a good FMF to someone when you get the RT3?
