Just reset my TPS using my laptop (finally got rid of the big old desktop hogging up a shelf in my garage!). Everything worked fine except the 'throttle voltage' is reading in the 200's. Once reset the throttle position reads 4.8 closed and 85.0 open (allowable range is 0-85) and the throttle percent reads 5.5 closed and 99.6 open. These numbers are pretty much the same as they've ever been after a TPS reset but on the old platform the voltage reading read correctly (0-5V). Now it reads between 209-214 ! It's a 5V range but something seems funky. Bike runs perfectly.... By the way, if you are using the serial to USB converter don't forget to download the driver and update the settings as per the manual on the VDSTS download site. If you don't update those settings it won't work. I know. And use ALL the cables you did before, don't just think the converter can connect to the Buell cable, I needed not only the null modem thingy but the cable that was between that and my old computer. Whole deal.... (Message edited by rkutzner on August 10, 2012) |
