it seems like my speedometer is topping out at around 60 mph. i replaced the VSS only 2 months ago and it is still intact. speedo works (not exactly accurately), no bouncing needle, and the trip/odometer are still turning over. any suggestions? not a hugely big deal. certainly not a speed demon, but just like to know how fast i'm going. |

I think I heard you can remove the speedometer sensor and wipe the metal shavings off of the end that accumulate and cause these problems. Drain primary and put new/clean fluid back. I haven't been into the speedo sensor myself but I thought I remember reading this here. |
