With spring here (at least on the calendar), most of you are probably planning some sort of epic trip or a least weekend getaways. Where are your favorites and where are you planning to go this summer? Here's a couple of mine: Twin Cities, MN |

Thought it was cool Duluth was heavily marketing itself as a Twin cities get away. Pardon my multiple entries on this, computer is not wanting to play nice and cooperate. Sign on hwy 7 west of Excelsior

More Duluth pics Bridge at night. There's some amazing photos of this bridge out there, it's one of those landmarks that is a really neat subject.
Ship in Duluth harbor on Lake Superior. You can watch ships come and go all day long. It's cool listening to the ships communicate with the lift bridge with their horns. Great place to sail also as long as the lake cooperates.
Statue of Leif Erikson near the lake walk.

My 'go-to' favorite is the smokey mountains. Not sure where this summer/fall will take me though! |

Heading to Colorado on May 5th! Won't be on the Uly but I still love the twisties, even on the Geezer Glide! Great roads, scenery and beer. Did I leave anything out? |

My couch. I can ride 300 to 500 mile twisty days from East Tennessee into North Carolina, North Georgia, Kentucky, or West Virginia, only to end up home on the couch. Awesome days.....great destination. |

Fltwistygirl, I'm close. I have been going over my bikes recently. Discovered a bad ground on the uly and had to clean the carb on the KLR. It's not easy, but satisfying to be able to do some simple things. I can finally twist a throttle and use the front brake. My right hand and fingers are still slow and weak, so I am going to wait a bit longer. I'll start out on the KLR as it's a bit more forgiving then the Uly. Dr hasn't committed on when with a bike. He has finally let me drive my truck a bit though. Thanks for the offer though. I appreciate it. I think I actually met you a few years back at the Bcubed campground sitting around the fire with Gator and a few others. |

Every Summer, I like to ride Vermont Route 100 from the Massachusetts border to Stowe. Then, I take Route 108 over Smuggler's Notch, eventually ending up beside Lake Champlain for the night. From there, Sometimes I cross into New York and go south on Route 22 which runs parallel to the Vermont border, and sometimes, I'll take the long way and follow U.S. Route 11 to Syracuse so I can eat at the Dinosaur BBQ. There are lots of other great rides, but my Vermont Ride is almost a Constant each year. |
