Went to the local HD dealer (big place) earlier today with our 08 Buell Parts manuel in hand. Walked up to the counter, opened the book to page XX. Asked nice parts person to please order this one right here. Parts Person said, and I quote: "that's a xxxx Buell Part. We don't sell Buell parts". Took my Buells parts manual and left. Don't even physically have the bike in hand, and we are having parts issues. LOL Besides Al at American Sport Bike, where can we get parts. Thought the Mother Company was supposed to support Buells till 2019? |

Just like 5 years ago, long before the closing, you get your Buell parts at a Buell dealer, not a Harley dealer. |

Call Surdyke Buell and ask for Brian. They don't seem to stock much but will order and ship to your door. They also have an on-line parts catalog if you have your part numbers. Online offers a reasonable discount but I think Brian will match the price. Nice guy! |

My dealer, Goe Harley Davidson/Buell in Angleton Texas, which signed the new agreement to continue being a Buell dealer when Buell was shut down, treats Buell folks as valued customers and will order and try and expedite any Buell part. Possibly your Harley dealer didn't sign up to be a Buell dealer when Buell was shut down. Check around for the closest one which did. |

The owner of Gainsville Harley in Florida rides Buell and they normally have any part you may need in stock. |

I deal with Suburban, they work great for me and always find the parts. |

Even before the shutdown, not all HD dealers carried Buell, and if they didn't, they didn't even have access to the parts network. It would be no different than walking into a Honda dealership and asking for a Ducati part. Dealers that still service Buell can order parts - you just have to check to see if one near you does. I've been treated pretty well when going in for parts, and they do seem to appreciate when you have the part number in hand. |

In terms of availability, my local dealer got much better after the shutdown. They don't stock a lot, but never really did anyway, so things are about a week out and all in the same system now. As good or better as when I need Kawasaki or Yamaha parts. |

Actually, all HD dealers CAN order parts, they just don't want to do so. |

California Harley will order Buell parts. At least they did 6 months ago... |

I don't believe your comment is correct, Buelldualsport. I've heard from a number of folks in the business that if a Harley dealership did not sign the 7 year agreement when Buell was shut down they cannot order Buell parts through Harley, make warranty claims, etc. |

Guess what I've been told doesn't really matter anyway. Enjoy |

From the Utah HD guys (which dropped Buell like a rock at the closing), they told me they don't honor warranty stuff and have to order Buell stuff via HD dealers that still have a Buell relationship (or, even more surprising to me, the guy said he'd get parts from Al!). |

I followed the link above and found Tucson Harley Davidson was listed so I went to their web site and sent a parts request and never heard a word. I have an FLH also, its a shovelhead, and they don't even have a oil filter for those bikes in fact if your not buying one of their overpriced new bikes they really don't even seem to want you in the store. Really nice place and the last place I would ever buy a bike. |
