Looking for a molten orange windscreen. I have a 98 S1W, not sure if it actually said white lightning on the molten orange or not. | ||

Does the tail section? (note: if you have a twintail, it probably won't...S1W's were factory-built with the solo tail and the accessory twintail said only "S1 Lightning") | ||

Mine is a solo tail. So it would have said white lightning on the tail and windscreen? I can't find the reproduction or factory decals anywhere. I would like to restore it but parts seem to be few and far between. | ||

I was also looking for S1 wl decals , and i have them. i order them here in the netherlands by :http://www.oudemonninkmotors.nl/ I know he was ordering them out off the stats. As i recall they where 35 euro/ps.  | ||

My white one has the logo on the tail and on the flyscreen, yes. I bet if the part number were posted, someone here could run a part locator to see who has them...and I also wonder if someone (1313? Court?) could verify what color decals belong on orange bodywork...I would suspect silver or white, but...not sure. | ||

In the parts manual it's not real clear. Part number for the S1W windscreen and tail is 14738-98Y Tank decals for molten orange are 14740-98Y left 14741-98Y right This is where I don't understand. It says molten orange model windscreen and tail used part number 14739-98Y | ||

I asked Court for a build sheet a couple of months ago but haven't heard back yet. Still trying to be patient. It may have not even been a molten orange bike. All I know is it is a S1W with a nuke blue frame that was built for California emissions. I can't believe no one has a windscreen for a S1. I would take any color. I would like a oe though. | ||

14738-98Y supersedes to M0744.G and shows a description of "DECAL, S1 WHITE LIGHTNING(WHITE/BLUE)" Locator shows it available at Vintage Parts - any dealer can contact them and order from them. It is an obsolete-parts-warehouse for HD, but not anyone can order from them - only a dealer can. 14739-98Y also comes up "decal - white/blue", supersedes to M0724.G...and nobody has it. | ||

Jeff, Here's a pic of a Molten Orange/Nuclear Blue S1W showing the tank and flyscreen decals. The bike had a twin tail setup on it and the tail section decal was the same as on the flyscreen (white "S1" and blue "Lightning").  From the deepest, darkest recesses of my memory I believe only the white bodywork S1W's had the "White Lightning" decals on the tail and flyscreen. Perhaps this is why the other than white colored S1W's were called 'Lightning Strike' in Europe? 1313 | ||

Thanks 1313! I confirmed this with a guy... today....that bought one new. S1 "white lightning" decals only came on the white body work. Still nobody has a oe windscreen? | ||

So Brankin - it looks like the orange S1W also had the "shredded background" on the American Motorcycles part of the tank decal? Did not know that only the white S1W had the "White Lightning" decals...good to know. |
