Finally, after years of trying to see this stretch and 1 year after selling my Uly....I'm finally taking a detour from a business trip to drive this stretch of road. I'll stick my head out the sunroof to mimick the Uly experience. Right now I'm eyeing a 2012 Vstrom 1000 or Tiger XC. |

You should look at the Super Tenere also, I just picked one up and it alot of bike for the money. I have no complaints with it. (Message edited by dcc46 on November 13, 2011) |

The Cherohala is an awesome ride on a bike, in a car, in an suv. I have heard that it is even great to hike or bicycle, but I am pretty sure I will never see that happen from myself. Make sure your windows are clean and you are not in a hurry, stop at as many pull outs as possible. When you are on a great handling bike like a Uly, your focus will be on the ride and you will likely miss a lot of the great views. |

Dcc46, I read that the highway ride is "luxurious" and pretty quiet. Care to gratuitously comment? |

it really is a well put together bike. I went for a ride across Florida and around lake okeechobee on saturday, 350 miles and I was comfortable. Usually about 100 miles into a ride my knees start to hurt and I start squirming around. Bike has nice power in sport mode and handles well. I've only had it a week but I'm glad I bought it. |

How did it do in the mountains of Florida? I hear you guys have all sorts of challenging rides, and oftentime makes Coloradians jealous |

Nothing taller than an overpass here ,not much to be jealous of but my riding season is 12 months long. Not to brag but I found a rode with 3 curves in 10 miles yesterday. Lol that was the most excitement I had since I left NY. |
