On the ckp sensor, what does that hook wire clamp thing do, mine has gone completely missing after I did my valve check/engine rotation.

Any help is appreciated.

Taking a guess, but looks like it snaps around the CKP and then attaches to the engine harness support (black cover that hides the CKP). Otherwise it looks like the back half of the harness support would flap in the breeze.
my guess anyway...

Well whatever it is my bike does not have one. (my frame is off and I know for sure I dont have one)
I hope its not important.

maybe a harley tech threw it in the trash after one of my warranty stator replacements

Just went out and took a closer look at mine. It does snaps around the CKP but doesn't look like it attaches to the harness support like I thought.
So my revised guess is that it's there to keep the wires from chafing each other. Probably important in the long term, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Bump.

Mine is in the shop. Should be done today. I'll take a look at mine when I get it back and report back on what I find.
