Well I know who some of the owners are, and I doubt they are on here! There were 137,000 Buells sold, and how many members here? And how many of even them post? This is a great board, but a lot of people don't do chatting. | ||

Yes . . they are selling. I know a person who is buying one and I'm sure she has never and won't be posting. I don't think . . I could be wrong. .that Jay Leno has one yet. I'm quite certain he will. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for an owners discussion. | ||

The first guy to post owning one on this board is going to be a local hero of the internet! Jay Leno hasn't bought one? That is disappointing. I wish he allowed tours of his garage. I am convinced he has "one of everything". Erik should call him. Sell him a bike (he'd probably like the carbon) and get on the Tonight Show! It would be awesome publicity. He certainly could afford one...and a carbon one at that! I am somewhat curious how many carbon editions sell. If I had $40k to spend on a motorcycle, I would imagine I would have $44k to get a carbon! ac | ||

I'm super happy with my cr and can foresee custom fitting as many typhoon parts as possible! And if every thing works out one day I will own and ride a ebr built moto. Go 99! I filled out the pre-order late around the 5th or 6th of July for the carbon version. They've included everything I've always wanted Buell to add (I think I still have it here in my outdated bio) & also think it's a great investment & a great way to evangelize the brand (as I'm a longtime mac-addict I'm familiar with that need). I'm no better qualified to be that person as anyone here except the fact that I think I can get away with it with the wife. I really feel my pre-order move was a bit delayed, so I think my chances are slim, but it's the closest way for me to invest in Erik Buell Racing & I think it's my responsibility to invest in something I believe in. Anyway, I was planning on a geothermal unit for house first as our house needs efficient heat/air, but this is more of an opportunity to participate in Erik Buell Racing. I'd also like to get involved in club races & track days. anyway, I'm excited for all Buell fans because I thought this day would never happen under the HD umbrella. I think the 3 different lineups will be everything we wanted Buell to do & then some (if the 1190rs is any indicator). I think we should have nothing but unbridled enthusiasm (Seinfeld quote  Sad thing is I don't know what they do with the pre-order applications. I might not be important enough & might be skipped over for someone that's a dealership. | ||

I have my deposit in, but we're waiting on vin# availability. Anyway, wanted to update that I was notified & received an email from Erik Buell himself on a notification blip that occurred under the marketing dept with an employee that had a lot of family issues that had to quit. Anyway, Erik Buell himself was picking up the slack that was left with void of that person leaving. All is good in my corner & I can't be excited enough. I just dropped the bombshell to the wife & she begrudgingly accepted the challenge. My sales guy is going to contact me Monday about the availability of the vin#. Talk later | ||
