Ft Washington guys, Any ideas for the next meeting? Met up with Jose at Summit Point. Had a great time. Met some super racers and their teams, includes Ray Price, Brian and the Frederick team, and Nate Kern. Jose and I made photos. We also met the Buell-tiful Buellbree. Whaddaya have in mind? How about a meeting at Old Glory in Laurel. Be a nice change to meet with fellow Buellers and actually look at some new Buells. Or, I'm OK with Ft. Washington if that's the consensus. They do have some good, free food. | ||

OG would be cool,perhaps we can do a ride afterwards. Brian, are you riding yet or is the wrist still bothering you? I would hate to see your bikes collecting dust and getting flat spots on your tires do to lack of use. Hey guys I taught some on the range for Total Control then on Sunday I got the Uly out and rode up to Cecil County Dragway and watched some drag races. They had lots of bikes dragracing up there including one Buell Firebolt here is a picture of him.  route up was Key bridge to route 7 to 136, 22, 155, 161, route 1 across the dam, route 222, 276, Camp something road, to Theodore rd the drag strip is on that. I passed this so many times last year doing my QAS job, yesterday I finally got to see it. It is a nice dragstrip. | ||

Hey Lars, Thanks for your concern about me and my bikes welfare. My wrist is healing very nicely and I am ahead of schedule for rehab. I think I can ride now and I will try it out locally this week and see how it goes. Hope to see you guys this Sat. somewhere. | ||

I think Ft. Washington HD is an interesting old dealer and a decent location. I understand they have not sold/serviced Buells for a long time now. Is that the case? Are there Buell-savvy staff there still, or is it just more of a good area locale to meet up? | ||

Ft Washington got out of the Buell business last July-August. We found out at Homecoming 2008. There are a couple of parts guys that have some good tuber knowledge. I would say that only only time they had knowledgeable Buell salesmen is when we held the monthly BRAG meeting. There is 1 good tech there, ask Black, but as a whole they much rather talk HD. I have been leading a ride from there because it is a good place to start from. It was something I put together to hook up with Annapolis BRAG. I have now turned it into a excuse to get a 5 Guy's hamburger. | ||

Actually two excellent techs, Rick (Smitty) Smith (the master of tubers and x-bikes) and his brother Phil, who is not only a master of tubers and x-bikes, but Buell factory trained on the 1125R. If those two guys ever up and disappear, I have 'em chained up in my garage tuning up my bikes. (Only kidding!). Don't know my plans yet for Saturday. Need to get better directions to Old Glory......or we could do Winchester. Shenandoah is having a big wing ding this weekend too. It's the "Rally in the Valley" on Saturday and Sunday. | ||

Myself, Jose, Paul, Lars, and RJ left from there about 1130 for rides around that area North and west from the dealer. We were scouting routes for rides from Old Glory for upcoming events. We had a good day and Man! I needed to get out and ride. | ||

do you have any pic of the used 9R. i am trying to talk my brother into a buell when he upgrades from the Slut Ninja 500. the bike has had 9 owners and is held together with rtv and safety wire. | ||

I'm assuming it is the yellow 07 9R. If so from an impartial party she is very clean and very yellow. It would be perfect for taking to Deals Gap and making KillBoy's front page. You know he loves yellow and black right... I really didn't spend that much time ogling it, but from 10 feet it looked nearly new. | ||

I'm working on getting it on our websites...for some reason I *assumed* it was on there (my bad). Now just trying to get it posted. I'll put up a link as soon as it's on. It *is* a very clean bike. We sold it new, did the race ECM / filter / Jardine here. I want to say 8k miles(ish). Buell soft saddlebags, yellow bodywork, black windscreen, white wheels - sharp looking bike. I know the original owner personally - she's a fanatic, and the only reason it got sold was because she's getting married and moving onto land only accessible by Uly. Once the dust settles from the wedding, it'll be Uly time for her. And c'mon now....RTV is good stuff. I've held 11 second Turbo Dodges together with the stuff | ||

I'll be out tomorrow leaving the house around noon. I'll be riding with a chicky though and she'll be on a cruiser so It's going to be a tame one, with occasional blasts on the throttle. |
