I have a 06 Uly that runs fine. I also have the ECM Spy that I use for the TPS reset. The question I have is where can I change the overall fuel mapping to make it close to the 13:1 "ideal" (if I understand that ratio right). The reason for the change is that I would like the bike to run cooler (I have the comfort kit but no reflash). Might seem like a nob question but I have 40 years experience with carbs and about 10 seconds of experience with messing with fuel injection maps. |

Rotorhead is right, great place for ecmspy info. I believe you want 14:1 not 13. It is trying to give you 14.7:1 now, which is perfect stoimetric ratio. Harley's and Buells are quite happy at 14:1. I just put an A/G ratio gauge on my Road Glide and I have the lower end right on 14:1 and it was getting 46 mpg at 60 mpg pulling my trailer. The needle however was at 13:1 giving me 42 mpg at 75 mph. I need to tweek it a little. I fully understand learning the NEW stuff, I'm in the same boat. I have tweeked the Buell and it's much improved but I still need to learn how to datalog to get it perfect, anal bastard that I am! |
