I have done all the service and wrenching to this point 11K but I am a little nervous about the forks. I had a small leak on the rotor side seal but it stopped I am wondering if the oil got low and isn't leaking for that reason. Does anyone have a complete list of parts needed to do them right and the tools necessary? I have a manual just wondering if all those steps are needed, also what is the best fork oil to go with. Any help would be appreciated.

If it was leaking, it is going to get worse.

At bare minimum buy new fork seals.

If you are feeling giddy get new bushings too.

The Uly springs are long and soft and you can compress them by hand.

The Seal driver is a wise investment but at $65 is expensive. I use an old bearing race or the old fork I cut into pieces and a dead blow hammer.

I only use the factory oil, that is what all them smart engineers put in there.

Also, you dont need to tear apart the cartridge assy. But I really cant explain how to not do it. I guess just pull the cap and leave the cartridge alone. IF you do take the cartridge apart you will have to set your damper rod depth and that is easy, but tricky.
