I have the engine rotated in my '07 Uly to fix rocker box leaks. I bought the 17036-91A kit that is mentioned in the Knowledge Vault.

There are updated sealing washers for the outer cover bolts. Do you maintain the washer that is on the factory bolt and put the new part under them? I'm asking because the factory washers are captured on the bolts.

Thanks for any help,

Mark

Good question. Seem reasonable to just add the new washers under the existing captive washers.

The reason I ask is the new part actually has a washer with an o-ring type seal molded into its inner diameter. I didn't have any leaks at the top cover bolts so it's not a big deal. The BIG leak was at the rear between the upper and lower covers.
