I believe I've seen an updated torque value list of various items here. I've used the search function , without success. Anyone have the link bookmarked? I need specifically the axle torques. My manual says 28 and 45# for front and rear as low figures. |

What year and model? My shop manual for 2008 XT has 38 - 42 ft lbs for the front and 48 -52 for the rear. The low figure is an initial torque to seat the assembly manual then says to back off a couple of turns and torque to correct value. |

The low figure is the lower end of the final torque value. The figure for the initial torque value is 1/2 of the final torque value. For example on the rear I tighten mine to 25 ft lb, back off two turns and then retorque to 50 ft lbs. |

Woops!, by the low figure I did mean the initial value (just used to seat / align everything). The 48-52 ft lbs would be the range of the final torque value (anywhere between and including those numbers is an acceptable value). I normally use a 'click' style wrench and set the rear to 50 ft lbs (between the high and low values). |

Torque your rear axle to 25 ft lbs. Back it off two full turns. Re-torque to 50 ft lbs. |
