So true. I'm disappointed in myself - the bikes haven't been started in over four weeks thanks to the snow, holidays, family obligations, and the early sunsets. I just need a day in the 40s to get them running and back in riding shape. I'm not afraid of the cold, just the ice. | ||

My brother put close to 100 miles on his Uly this weekend. He road from Culpepper VA to Marshall VA to Warrenton VA and back to Culpepper VA. He has heated grips and was bundled up like a Eskimo. | ||

I saw a Lightning today coming out of the Merrifield Post Office on Lee Hwy in Fairfax VA at 16:00pm. He was coming out of the employee parking lot. It was red with gold rims. | ||

Word to your respective mothers. I think I might have an hour or so tomorrow to finish the wiring of my additional lighting rig before the snow starts. I found some REALLY slick lights at the local car parts store and mounted them to my turn signal stalks. We shall see - the challenge is to keep them aimed right so I don't completely blind oncoming cars. VERY primitive hose clamp technology...this was just for ease and fun.  | ||

A Blast at Frederick H-D/B today (Sunday) around 2-3pm, parked among da Hogs. I was the only other Buell on site. I was being eyed up, down, and sideways because I was standing next to a filthy Uly, wearing earplugs, gauntlets, armored boots, armored pants, armored jacket, full-face helmet, and a Patriot Guard pin. No one knew what to make of me! Anyway, I bought 2 Buell t-shirts (including - much to my wife's dismay - the muscle shirt, and rode on. Gorgeous day. | ||

Black 1125CR Northbound on Rt234 (Sudley Rd) just past the Stone House (Manassas Battlefield Park) around 1:30pm Sunday. Uly on Rt 29 approaching Gainesville around 12:30pm Sunday. Color unknown; turned to look too late and saw saddlebags and rider wearing grey jacket (we were stopped @ Reddy's BBQ; admiring the smoker when the bike passed). Gater, I changed my PM settings; should work now. You live in some great riding country, there. Reddy's BBQ may still be a bar, but when we stopped they were selling BBQ from a step van and the building was just open for the use of the restroom. Nobody inside the building, but a NASCAR race was on the TV behind the bar (I think it's required by law). | ||
