I'm looking for hose clamps that are a step up from what can be had from NAPA, ACE Hardware, etc... for my shock reservoir & catch can. Any that don't have all the little openings, come in colors, ??? Any thoughts? |

got a Goodridge clamp just to see how it looks. And i must say quality is good, got differant colors but it's to bloody expensive for my taste. So i'm also still looking, found some in the States just cant remember the name off the store. But then, buy 'em cheap send them to Europe will cost an other fortune !!! |

Off the subject but this reminds me of my last trip to the stealership. I was getting a TPS reset because I don't have the software to do it, typically I don't take my bike to the dealer. They told me that they saw some problems with my bike, and then proceeded to tell me that my oil lines were secured with hose clamps. I told them I don't see a problem with this. I asked what the problem was with securing a hose with a clamp that was designed to hold a hose. They insisted that hose clamps were the complete wrong way to have any hoses secured. They said they needed the fittings from the factory that are crimped on the hoses at the fittings......I politely declined. |

If you know any plumbing or radiant heating guys who work with pex tubing, they will have nice crimp rings and the proper tools to crimp them. Nice and clean. You can get the stuff yourself, but the quality stuff requires expensive crimpers. Wirsbo has a good tool section on their site. |
