Rotating the motor on my XB is turning into quite a project. I feel like I'm disassembling everything. |

Sorry I couldn't make it out there Eric... how far have you got? Have you been able to get an eye on the broken bolt yet? |

Plastics are off, rear wheel is off. belt tensioner is off. Clutch cable off, fuel line disconnected, sensors and ignition disconnected. tonight I'm draining the oil, removing the oil lines, rear exhaust bracket. Wednesday is the big day. My buddy who went to MMI is coming over to help with the motor rotation. I can't see the broken bolt because of the sensor in the rear header. The bolt that's broken must be right behind it. It's crazy that I have this much time into this project and it's all to replace a $1.50 part. Oh, I also took my turn signals off and mounted my license plate on the undertail just above the rear shock. |

I'm not really sure where it is you need to get to, but if you need to remove that temp sensor just let me know. I bought the snap-on temp sensor removal tool, may as well let someone else get some use out of it too should you need it. Phil |

Looks like we will be down Friday. After a little bike work, etc., will be heading to Flagstaff Saturday morning. Probably leave Maricopa at 9:30 or so, up the 17. Have to spend an hour or so at NAU, youngest daughter going there in the fall. Will head back after lunch sometime. You're all welcome to ride along. LJM |

Yes, what an accident. I cannot believe this guy missed seeing this many motorcycles sitting at a stop light. They had to of covered 25-40 feet with their bikes in formation. what a shame. I too was hoping all of our guys were okay. Baby huey. I could bring my S2 to the April meeting, and give it to you there, if you have a trailer? just a thought. REX |

Hey guys, I happen to be in AZ this week. I think I saw one of you doing laps in Suahrita (sp?) on Sunday by the park with all of the bronze animals. Blue XB...anyway, my mother inlaw told me about the crash above. Hopefully they will be alright. Staying in Cave Creek now, the Harley riders seem to love it here. |

Andrew I asked you this question before but I was wondering what your new place of work charges to do the forks on my xb. I am thinking about taking them off myself and just bringing in the forks but I would kinda like to know the price on and off the bike to see if my sweat equity is worth it. Thinking of bring them in this Saturday, would your shop be able to turn this around in a day? Let me know. Greg |

Greg your looking at 3hrs labor on the bike and 2 hrs if you carry them in. $89.95 per hour. i dont have the parts, we're out of stock right now. i'll get more coming. i've got a really good buell tech here who actually rides one.-andrew |

That's good to hear! When I bought my bike I got the "tour" of the facility and met the service manager who was a H.D. guy and obviously not impressed with my Buell! The tall dude in parts(chrome-consultant)(forgot his cool nic-name) seemed pretty cool and said he used to have a Buell as well. |

its all a matter of knowing the right people and having them in the right places at the store. you dont need a whole store full of buell people, just the right ones. the service manager is jim carrozza, a really good guy,we go back a long way. the tech is jim wagner, he rides a uly and really wants to be the tech in town to go too. i know that several dealers say they want to be the place to go but like i said it all boils done to having the right people in the right place at the stores.-andrew |
