ok so so as to stop myself from hijacking another thread. have had the clutch repaired 3x's now. had the odo reset itself to all zeros talked to dealer about it they were baffled harley tech basically said they can't ix it since the shut down left them with no one able to prog the new ecm with the corrected mileage, i did the fuse IC reset as suggested here that brought back the old mileage but left me short 260 miles and with a faulty ecm and/or ic still no fix to date. have had the front brake line reroute done. i picked the bike back up from my dealer on friday was told that the harley staff doesnt believe that the faulty ecm presents a safety concern so until they can get new ecm prog'd it's safe to ride. itching to ride i take the bike. now to today i am now in bluffton sc with my folks and i go to run out for a sec and while at blockbuster i and adjusting the brake lever and notice that the brake light switch wires are disconnected.....i reattach them and check brake light functionality none whatsoever tail light burns but no brake from hand lever or rear brake switch. go back to parents place and notice that the speedo is out and am not tracking miles. at a stop light i shut down wait a few then restart and still got nuthin on the speedo get back to the house recheck brakes still nothing. i love this bike i hate the issues i am having with it. plan on calling buell support monday and see what they want to do with it. at this point if they were still making them i'd be inclined to start asking about a replacement but they aren't so now what? |

well the brake light failure turned out to be a fuse still makes me wonder why it blew and what the wires were doing off in the first place still gonna call and see what's up also should note that made the entire trip about i think 330 miles with no clutch issues here's hoping that's the last time for it.... |

If those loose wires touched, or the hot one touched a ground it might have blown the fuse. As for the reason they were disconnected in the first place you got me on that one. |

danny yeah i thought about that. the part that really got me on that one though is that i didn't check it before i left(my bad i know) and i don't know when it happened so i may have been riding in some horrible traffic at night without a brake light came through it fine but was a scary thought |

Definitely scary since you can have aircraft anti collision lights on a bike most people will still claim to have "not" seen you. |
