Anyone ever try, successfully, to remove the pin stripe around the rim...mine's red. If so, how?

Yeah, exactly, I'm guessing the wheels are powdercoated and the stripe is paint, so....would lacquer thinner or something similar (ie carb cleaner) remove the stripe without hurting the powdercoat?

You could put black vinyl rim stripes over it then you can always go back to stock easily

Be careful with lacquer thinner on the wheels..you don't want to screw up the finish. I doubt they 'painted' it.
