I would put my stock bike up against that monstrocity any day of the week. If they wanted conventional sportbike geometry they should have bought one of the bazillion IL4s models available. Adding the radiator to the unsprung wieght of the fork, BRILLIANT! That thing is a joke. I also didn't see a price. i suppose they probably want $25 grand for one.

Some of you guys are funny...
It's just a coupa guys vision of what they think...it's not the next US president...
(!?)

For they're creative thinking...good for them. For their thought on the stock Buell radiator layout...they are absolutely correct.
Beside the horrendous fuel and spark mapping, the radiators are next for horrible thinking/design.

Fresno - I bet $25K is low - they only have one, so all R&D costs go to that one. The write-up seemed vaguely familiar, with terms like 'minimalist', 'overcome', 'improved' etc. It reads like a Confederate Motorcycle press release. I kinda like the robo-bike (superduke?) approach, but not for me, and certainly not a track-proven design

In case you haven't heard yet, the fuel/spark mapping has been addressed and fixed. See your dealer for the latest flash. Why can't some guys get over a problem that was addressed LONG ago?

As far as the radiator placement, my bike cools just as well (or in some cases better) than my friends bikes which are all IL4s with conventional radiator placement. I appreciate the side pods even more after last week when I shot a rock thru the radiator of my buddy riding behind me.

Maybe I should have just said "Man, that's a cool design" in reference to the Magpul Buell.

Yeah, I was thinking $40 grand, but if they bought em for cost, the $25 grand give them a $20,000 markup. I dunno. I suppose if they were serious and/or close to selling them, a price would be mentioned somewhere.

They just need to justify wasting money on the overpriced sport bike tune.

Reminds me of the Confederat Wraith ($100K +). Girder front ends are kinda cool, for shore and I like the lighting....

The article says they love motorcycles...and they like Erik Buell...and they want to become a motorcycle manufacturer...

HMM!

I love how controversial this bike has been, especially on here. If you read the articles, and Magpul's press release, it seems clear to me that their primary intent was to make a custom motorcycle that was more aesthetically pleasing. I don't recall reading anywhere that this was intended to be some revolutionary sportbike...

That said, I support this bike. I like customs and streetfighters, and this bike LOOKS cool. How it performs when ridden hard won't concern most people who are interested in buying this bike. However, I'm sure it will be infinitely more rideable than any of the stretched out 9 foot long, 800 lb, no rear suspension or front brake having sleds we saw all over the place a few years ago.

it's growing on me. i like the attempt at symmetry with the front end looks almost like they took a rear swing arm and modified it into the girder forks they have. really like the lights and the bars

It's a shame that they didn't use their skills to redesign the pod covers - the seat/airbox look sweet - I'd buy the parts if they offered them for sale - but it would not tie in well with the existing pods. I wonder how that tail end would look with the Buell fairing ?

I think it looks incredible.

... if I were to spend a good chunk of money on a custom bike, that would be very, very high on the list of options.

I wonder if I could get it with a cannon?

SS front forks always look weird and are way to heavy and bulky. For some reason, they never quite get that clean look that an SS swingarms gives.

I have put a SS swingarm on every bike I've owned except the Buell.
