Has anyone one of those rubber things lying around? (Part No. L0177.9)
Found it very practical. Now it broke off.

mine broke off, but I found the piece. I superglued it back on after scuffing up some of the powdercoat with sandpaper. 7000 miles later it hasn't fallen off again yet. Just an idea..

Yes, might work. I am experimenting with a piece of tyre-rubber doing the job. Thought it is an ingenious device nice to have, especially as I am just starting the season.

Are you looking for one for your S1? I have one from a '99 S3.
It's still attached to the kick stand, but I've had no luck selling the kick stand, so if you want the rubber piece, you can have it for the cost of shipping, and I'll just toss the kick stand out.

Bartimus,
thanks, p.m. sent.

Court,
this thing sure flapped the kickstand in those three or four times I took off minding too much at the same time. Interesting that it's straight. Mine had a banana shape. Should probably be regularly replaced. Do you sell?

I do not sell. But I do help a lot.

It gets a banana shape from contacting the ground.

There is a "wear" mark on it.

Should be no problem to find one at a dealer. Have of the sponsors run the number.

L0177.9 isn't a valid number anymore - not even showing up as "obsolete" on H-Dnet, just "invalid, please check your entry".

Lemme dig by application...

OK, a 2000 X1 (random tuber pick) shows a "dragger, sidestand", part number 50179-96Y, looks the same in the drawing and attaches to the sidestand foot. $10.25, active part, vendor direct 5 days.

Just as I suspected ... Valid part #.
