If you own a pre-2008, just thought it would serve someone else to know that if/when you drill the rivets off of the timing cover and go to check your timing and then replace the rivets with American Sport Bike's rivet replacement kit, that the two pan head screws that hold the inner plate in place are 8-32 x 1/2" and, if they are anything like mine were, strip easily when being removed.

If you plan to do this soon/ever, maybe drop a quarter or two on a few spares next time you are out near your favorite hardware retailer. The two OEM ones went ugly unexpectedly fast with very little effort.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
