Buell Factory Liquidation Sale to Begin January 28th

East Troy, WI (PRWEB) January 18, 2010 -- The Buell Motorcycle Company, a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson, has ceased manufacturing motorcycles. On January 28th, 2010 Liquid Asset Partners, a Michigan liquidation firm, will begin the liquidation sale of vehicles and factory equipment from the State-of-the-Art facility. Over the past 26 years Buell has manufactured over 130,000 motorcycles and created avid fans worldwide. The liquidation sale will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for Buell riders and fans to view the inside of the factory and purchase the equipment used to make the high tech sportbikes.

"Buell had a great run as a quality American motorcycle with fans worldwide." says Bill Melvin Jr., CEO of Liquid Asset Partners. "Buell spared no expense in making their beautiful bikes and in purchasing the factory equipment. There is a tremendous interest in the equipment and vehicles left in the factory and there are so many tools nobody will go home empty handed!"

The liquidation sale will start January 28th and run everyday for 30 days until everything is sold. Regardless of cost or loss, millions of dollars worth of equipment and tools will be sold directly on the factory floor. The Liquidation firm will be selling at enormous discounts, right from the start. Customers can buy tools for their garage, computers for their offices, and motorcycle specific equipment for making and testing their bikes.

"This factory was a state of the art, small scale factory. It's the type of facility that many tools and items will be of great interest to the home mechanic and motorcycle fanatic." says Bill Melvin Jr., CEO of Liquid Asset Partners. " To make the sale successful we are prepared to deeply discount the inventory and sell everything in one month! It's stacked high and we're selling it cheap. The public won't want to miss these deals".

The liquidation sale starts January 28th at the Buell Factory at 2815 Buell Dr, East Troy, WI. It is open to the public everyday until everything is sold. Hours of operation are 10am till 7pm Monday thru Saturday and 12noon to 5pm on Sunday. Buyers may view photos and inventory online at www.LiquidAssetPartners.com.

Lots of nice stuff. Would make for a dream shop.

With the depressed industries/economy up that way I wonder who'd have the funds to buy the stuff. Shipping would be a wad for everywhere else I'd figure.

Going to spend a while drooling over all the nice tools and equipment.

My old employer bought equipment in a bankruptcy auction once. It was neat seeing all the equipment for sale but sad at the same time standing in what was once other people's livelihoods.

I like the Buell race vans. Would be cool to drive that past an HD promo event. Maybe add a streamer banner flying above "Remember!"

Is that the mythical dirtbike engine? with a honda seat so no-one would pay attention during testing? or just leftover honda pieces from being studied?

Call the naked archeologist! we have mysteries to solve.

Well, that's Not the Honda dirtbike engine. It has the sprocket on the wrong side. There appears to be a Suzuki seat in that pic as well.

Where are those investors that called Court when the closure news was breaking? Seems like this would be a golden opportunity for someone to buy the guts of a state-of-the-art manufacturing/assembly facility (and prepare to make the new Buells).: )

As is pointed out in another thread there are very few Buell specific 'guts' left to be in that sale. Some large equipment, tons of office equip, hand tools and some fixtures that are buell specific.

We got there about 2 pm, on Thursday the 28th. I would have to say it was ALMOST a bait and switch by the liquidators; we were there 4 hours after they opened the doors and there was literally nothing left that did not have a SOLD/Hold sticker on it, or vehicles from the road fleet like the semi tractor and a van. The bike lifts were priced @ $770 with the ramps that should go with the lifts were an extra $110. You could buy Craftsman wrenches for $8 a piece, or CPUs, or tables/file cabinets, office papers. Here's how it was working on the first day; if you wanted a grouping of stuff which all actually had price tags on them, you'd get the attention of a floor manager to come over and do some price haggling on your grouping. From what I was overhearing you'd get about 10-15% off and out you went. There was no actual auction and the prices were so negotiable that nothing was really left, 4 hours into a 30 day sale? I feel bad for somebody travelling a distance to find that swindle, si I'm posting MHO.
