I'm looking at an '08 1125R, 25th year anniversary edition. It has blue carbon fiber body work with the 25th label and Eric Buell's sig on the bodywork. I can't find the blue carbon fiber body work in the Buell catolog or from aftermarket companies. Has anybody seen this before? Is this a "one off" tied to the 25th model? Any info is appreciated. | ||

Not to rain on the parade, that is a sweet looking bike with the man's actual signature, but... I'd be willing to bet that that is a vinyl wrap designed to look like blue carbon fiber. I'm sure I've seen a couple of websites, might even have one bookmarked at home, that featured custom skins on some 1125r's. I remember pictures showing Erik Buell making an appearance to view the bikes with custom graphics. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of those bikes. I'll keep looking for that website and let you all know if i find it. | ||

Found it! Hydro-Dip is the company that does this stuff. Ask them to pop a piece of the bodywork off, pretty easy to tell if it's real or not from the underside... | ||

Unless they painted the back of the fairing black, it's probably the Hydro-dip. Look at the picts on the Dealer page of the IC and you can see that back of the fairing.  | ||
