2004 xb12s. The little spring behind the yellow starter button got dislodged somehow, now the bike won't start without a steep hill or a good friend to push. I have the spring but can't figure out how it's supposed to go in and make electrical contact. The parts manual doesn't offer that level of detail; the whole switch assembly is replaced as a unit ($38). Which is what I'll need to do if I can't get this stupid little spring back where it belongs. Or hmm, maybe replace the yellow switch with something from Radio Shack etc. Thanks for any helpful suggestions. |
