Well me and the wife just got back from the races at VIR and man what a weekend it was. Neither of us had ever been to an AMA event and this will not be the last. We got there on Friday night and went to the track on Saturday and spent a full day. Talked to a lot of people and just had a good time. Today we got out there walked through the pits then went to an autograph session. Now this is were we really noticed a big differance in the riders, the wife bought a shirt and was going to get all of the riders to sign it, the Buell riders were enthusiastic to sign the shirt and were in really good spirits, some of the other riders seemed to have an attitude and one of them just handed her a signed picture and did not even attempt to sign her shirt. Now I understand some of them do not want to really be there and would rather be down in the pits getting ready for the race but come on, it was only 45 minutes they had to be there to sign autographs. Well anyhow just wanted to tell everyone if you have not been to an AMA event DO IT NOW. Jimmy |

SOme of the riders are real bitches--Mladin missed it completely in Fontana and left early at Infineon. Great guy! 45 minutes for the fans is not a lot to ask. One of the proposals is to have individual autograph sessions at each team's hauler. However, the coolest thing about having them all together is that you can basically get everyone's autograph. That won't happen if everyone is spread out. |
