At 13,300 miles, my 09 X had the rotor replaced for the 2nd time today. The first one was toast at 7500 miles. After the first replacement, I promptly drove home and put in Lyndalls pads. 1500 miles later, the pulse was back. I dealt with it till this week, and had it replaced. Funny thing, as I was talking with the tech(same guy who did it the first time), he mentioned a new part number or suffix on the disc, indicating a possible new vendor. Long story short, I'm going back to the old pads(I prefer the feel over the Lyndalls) and hoping for the best. My brakes feel great! Fingers crossed for the third disc....

Also, Cowboy HD/B of Austin ROCKS! As always...

Interesting, I have these two part numbers for rotor kits, both have been in the systems for years, so its not like a recently released revised part. Usually the "A" at the end means revision, but as far as I can see its the same thing.

H1201.02A8 ROTOR KIT, FRONT Retail Price:$144.15

H1201.02A8A ROTOR KIT, FRONT Retail Price:$170.00

Also found this tidbit : )
H1201C.02A8 ROTOR KIT, FRONT Retail Price:$235.00 (New accessory super rotor)

I think the wave rotor like you have looks much better. Might not have all that fluid dynamic testing though

Lyndall pads didn't work well for me; they _caused_ my rotor problems. Like you, I went back to stock pads. Most folks have the reverse experience, I guess...
