I have this old habit of blipping the throttle when downshifting and my X1 seems to bog a little when I twist the throttle real fast. This happens even with warm motor. Just for comparison I rode my friend's Jap bike and the throttle response is instantaneous. Is this just a normal trait for an FI Tuber? I have tweaked the fuel maps using the ECMSPY, e.g., smoothed out the cell values, etc. Thanks. |

I have the same habit, mine comes from riding two strokes for forty years. My X1 spits a little off idle about half the time, Its stock other than exhaust and air filter. My S3 has a race ecm, exhaust and air cleaner, has very crisp throttle response, runs excellent and never spits, pops or bogs. I would assume that the stumble could be worked out with a tps reset/EcmSpy,haven't used it yet myself because I'm a pc dummy. I have the program and cable but no lap top yet. |

Thanks. So it sounds like it can be improved. I do have the Race map in my ECM and it helped with the V&H and high flow filter. Now I need to look in the timing maps via ECMSPY 'cause I think that's where I can improve the off-idle response. |
