I would like to SEE some rear bag set-ups. I've been down the Buell/HB hardcase route and have settled on something else.

I prefer to travel with sidecases and a large rear bag. My tent, cover, shoes and dirty clothes seem to fit better in a soft bag.

I would be especially interested in seeing the Wolfman options mounted on a Uly.

Whatcha got? NUTS

No, I left it on, in that pic its folded down. I have also run with it up. Not much difference as far as stability etc.... more your preference. If you look at the bag.. its at slight angle as the back side sits on the grab rails a little. No big deal.. makes a good back rest and it does hold a ton of gear.
I've done a couple of week long trips.. it holds more than I needed.

Nuts, I've been very happy with the Nelson-Riggs bags.

They compartments expand accordion style. That picture is fully expanded. The bag is almost a cube with it zipped down. Never had it leak, and it is painless to snap it on and off the bike.

Found one with it down:

I think it's this one that I am using:

I've got one of http://www.backcountry.com/store/TNF3006/The-North -Face-Base-Camp-Duffel-Bag-2560-9070cu-in.html It has attachment points for tie-down, is waterproof (ok weatherproof) and tough as nails + can be used as luggage for off the bike adventures as well. Naturally, mine is the beautiful yellow color so it kinda matches my bike.

+1 On the North Face! Lots of easy on and off points. Not a total dry bag , but for all stuff that can take a little moisture, works good. I use the 20 x12. Tent ,air mattress, rain gear etc.

Ortlieb dry bags, with an outdoor research water resistant bag [holds my tent, kermit chair, thermarest]. I don't even use my hard bags, I just prefer these. They're light, simple and flexible.

I have used a Seal-Line 80 liter widemouth duffel with great success. I was hoping to hear how the Wolfman, moto-fizz options fit on our Ulysses'. I have beta tested enough products in my time but looks like I'll have to try some more. NUTS

If I remember right, its 45L, which makes it the same as the Outdoorsman topcase. Oh, and it weighs as much as a passenger!

I really like my Ortlieb dry bag. Holds a lot of stuff and completely waterproof. Makes a nice backrest too.

I have a couple of pieces of Kriega bags, and they are waterproof and well made.

I was going to recommend Seal-Line too

+1 Ortlieb Dry Bags

Every time I went on a trip last summer it rained, and they worked great. I have all three from 'stich, but just use the small and med. mostly.

Another option, which I really like, is to use any duffle bag you'd like, then add a clear waterproof liner inside, like the Seattle Sports HydroLiner...about 15 bucks, or so.
