Does anyone have a pit bike or experience with them? I would like to buy one for my little brother (age 12), and I found a 2004 SDG 107 in my town for $500. But the add says it has a new motor, and I have no idea where I would get something like that serviced. They seem like cool little bikes, and great for my brother, but the new engine deal, and service availability have me wondering if its a good way to go. |

From that link:
quote:SDG - The original higher priced import pitbike, hasn't actually been on the market for 3 years now. Anything you find has been sitting for a long time and should be gone over front to back. Most of the 3v 107 Speed Minis are older units with flawed transmissions. There are also a ton of fakes on the market trying to ride SDG's name to generate some sales. In short, legit ones are going to cost more than your price range, and you don't want the ones you can afford.

THE PIT BIKE KING: Please find me an old DS80 Suzuki, any year, better still the late model ones. Good for 80MPH stock, nuttin better for endless dohnuts. Mebbe the DT series Yamahas. Gotta luv 2-strokes. Burnt Yamalube is like the incense to the temple of squids. |

Ultimate pit bike...1938 servi-car in glitter green. It will probably be complete for the end of the 09 race season. |

city, there is a 1 year delay on that bill according to the 2 congressional letters i received back from the louisiana legislators that i contacted as part of the ama campaign. supposedly they need time to "fine tune" the wording to prevent unintentional ramifications of the ban on lead in children's products. tim |

This would be an excellent pit bike. Of course those would be bottles of water in the side
