Does anyone have a Jardine pipe on their XB12XT? And possibly Jardine's quiet inserts (QMI)?

Any thoughts/advice on that pipe installed on an XT?

Thanks.

I have a Jardine on a XB12X it works pretty well, if u se the quiet core insert bit, for sure kills down a lot the noise, but the thing about jardine is the repacking you have to do every maximum 5000kms, possibly ceramic fiber will last longer.

What year is your Ulysses?

Have you done any remapping?

I went to my local dealership and they said that since there isn't any remapping programs available for 08 or newer, they would recommend in waiting for any pipe due to this.

Hence my reason to "ignore" this thread.

*shrug*

Ah I thought you gave up on the idea of a Jardine, hence the reason to ignore. Personally I don't like the look and finish on the Jardine, also it requires constant repacking. But it is the cheapest pipe you can get for the bike.

As for remapping, it can be done with ECMspy and some hacking.

I have longed for a better sounding pipe for my XT but alas, I doubt that there will ever be one that doesn't compromise something and possibly cause warranty issues should something go wrong.

My bike is an 06 model, I live in Spain, so my question is do you have on the 08 version have the catalytic thing in the exhaust, if you have i wouldent touch it, if it hasent go for the jardine with the quiet core and don't touch the maps the quiet core should work fine, to reduce the exhaust to normal parameters, so until you decide to go to an open air box and taking off the quiet core, you dont need to do any remapping.

At least from my knowledge sounds right.
Maybe some one else has diferent ideas.
