Hey, all. I FINALLY bought a Uly. I was trying to sell my Husqvarna SM610 to by FT_BSTRD's Uly, but Methed got to it before I could. Then, I was able to borrow money from someone (dads can come in handy!) until I sell the Husky and won an '06 Uly with ~7500 miles on it and 2 sidecases for.....$5100 on eBay! The bike is being shipped (I have a restricted license, so can't pick it up...long story) and will be here on Friday or Saturday. I'm pumped and already have some stuff waiting to go on the bike and already bought an ECMspy cable to tune the maps and whatnot. Anyway, my question is about luggage. The 2 sidecases that come with the bike are the original H&B cases that everyone loves to hate. I can't afford to buy new ones right now, so I'm going to stick with them for the time being, since I won't be using them that often, anyway. Now, I have a Givi topcase that I'd like to install onto the bike and would like to know the best way to go about doing this. Does anyone sell a Givi rear rack that bolts on and is compatible with the H&B sidecase racks? I'm not sure if the 2 mounting systems interlock or what, I've just read Court say that the rear rack and sidecase racks should be installed together for structural integrity. Also, if there's some kind of rear rack that just has some decent sized crossbars for me to bolt the universal Givi mount onto, that'd be great, too. Any ideas? Ideally, I'd LOVE to get the outdoorsman bags, but that's alotta $$$$$ that I don't have. I've wanted a Uly since their debut, but couldn't afford one 'till now so that has been a looong time coming. Can't wait to get riding and meet some Buellers. I'm lookin' forward to plenty of miles and smiles (more like shit-eatin' grins, but you get the idea!)} (Message edited by j0hn0tt0 on April 02, 2009) |

Hi, I have these available now if you're interested - black powder coated or polished stainless-steel finish - bolts straight onto the bike to provide a generous load area for loose luggage or any topbox platform. The picture shows my own bike and I'm very happy with the HB setup. The bags are rugged, usable and suit the bike's styling. http://palmerproducts.auto.officelive.com/buellxb12x.aspx (Message edited by strada on April 03, 2009) |

Congratulations on the Uly! I noticed here and on ADVrider that you've been working on this for awhile. I'd suggest calling Twisted Throttle to see if the Fehling Givi top case rack they sell will work with the side racks you have. I'm sure someone has tried it before. I'm in the same situation as you. I've been wanting a Uly since I first laid eyes on one. I finally found a '06 here in Chicago that I could afford. We're in for some fun now! The bike really is brilliant. Enjoy (and sort out that restricted license!) - Scott |

Welcome to Ulyland. Probably the best place to sell your Husky (besides to me if I could afford 2 bikes) is advrider.com |

FWIW, I've had no problems with my stock HB sidecases. I like them. Just have to be careful my keys aren't in the latch when I go to shut it. |

Nice man! I considered kicking myself for getting Ftty's Uly when I saw what that went for, but I'm really glad I'm getting his bike and that another BadWebber is getting that deal! Good work, and good luck! |

Hi, I have these available now if you're interested - black powder coated or polished stainless-steel finish - bolts straight onto the bike to provide a generous load area for loose luggage or any topbox platform. Strada, that's a pretty nice product you have there. Now that I think about it, I've seen you post that on here before. How much does a rack (black, powdercoated) cost? How much is shipping to the U.S.? I'm in New York City, area code 11378. Staves, thanks for the congrats. Seeing how Strada's setup is similar enough to the Fehling unit, I'd rather go with Strada's to support a fellow BadWeBer. I may be heading out West sometime this summer. Who knows, maybe we'll cross paths. ITileMan, I've posted it on advrider.com, supermotojunkie.com, as well as craigslist. I'd do ebay, but the fees are too much. Now, to just sit....and wait. Methed, FT_BSTRD's bike was priced fairly, all things considered. He really knew what he was doing and you have more of a personal relationship, being on the same forum and all, so it's easy to ask him questions which he'll have no problem giving you detailed answers to (he would always answer my questions, and then some). I've NEVER seen a Uly go for as cheap as I got mine for, so don't consider it a common occurence. I guess it was about time something GOOD happened to me lol. I can thank the economy and sniping the auction in the last seconds, though. See you all on the road!} |

If you want the Buell topcase, let me know. I have an extra one. I bought the HB 45L Junior (Same as Buell Outdoorsman) topcase, and have the original topcase in a box in my garage. I have a listing for it here in the for sale area. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/422997.html Wayne (Message edited by wbrisett on April 02, 2009) |

Best part of buying a badweb bike, you can do a search and find all the pictures of it on its side in a ditch! I bought my last Buell sight unseen off badweb. As for Strada's stuff, its fantastic. I wish I had the tools and skills that he has. |

"How can you sleep at night?!" The CORRECT response to this question is, 'On a large pile of money, with many beautiful women.' UP AND ATOM!! I'm waiting for the Groening fans...with apologies for the hijack. |

Ugh. I was all excited since the uship bid that I accepted said that the bike would be here 4/3 or 4/4. Now, it's been delayed to 4/5. The wait is killing me! |
