I can not imagine Mr. Flick not wanting to do something but also realize that there are many things to consider Especially when people are losing their jobs at HD |

"So, I may be out for Homecoming this year, and I only live 4 hours away..." Dude, I don't even have a Buell right now and I'm going. If I have to ride the VR, so-be-it. |

>>>Especially when people are losing their jobs at HD And that has what to do with Buell Homecoming? Heck, we held Homecoming when Buells entire annual budget was less than $100,000 and gas was less than $1.00 a gallon . . . Somehow I'm going to boldly go where no man has ever gone and block a couple days off my calendar to go see my friends . . . |

Court, If you have info from the powers that be that will be great. If you got my email yesterday I can most likely accomplish any of those things. Please give me a call via my cell. (Message edited by bads1 on February 04, 2009) |

With people's schedules and vacations, it is probably getting too late to do an official big homecoming if there is one at all. My opinion. There could still be a one day event set up, letting those who have time attend. Just my opinion. Usually big events should be planned the year (or two) in advance and promoted at the end of the year for the next year, so plans can be made by customers and event people alike. With no Harley Booth at the IMS shows, how possible could it be to have a homecoming and spend money, unless it was totally all grass roots. I know my calendar is already filling up, and it may hard to arrange a vacation day, if they wait too much longer. Maybe there should be some grass roots enthusiasts that works with the company that helps with events like this? |

Frank, I know I know...but if I can't figure out to fix this thing: Still need the motor mounts replaced, among other things. If the bike isn't fixed...I'm not driving there. LOL WAIT!! If you're going to be passing through Northern Indiana...Stop in and help me fix her! Phil, You need a front end to ride to Homecoming, and so far having trouble finding the new bearings (not from dealer, but the right numbers to get from a bearing house). And, add me to the list, btw. |

We'll get it sorted out . . and we'll have a great time. I sent a idea for an agenda last night and will know who's doing what and the dates in the next several days. Heck . . at my age? . . I'm not letting anyone keep me from seeing my friends.

The AMA races are June 4th-7th. The actual races will be the Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th. So most would most likely like to be at Road America those two days. If we got are Hotel/Motel arrangments for check in Wednesday the 3rd and Thursday the 4th. I could make arrangments for a Dinner which would be just 6 miles straight East from Great Lakes Dragaway at http://www.fountainbanquethall.com/ . Iknow the owner quite well.... I better he owns my Pooltable,Jukebox and Dart Board's.LOL I may be able to get something moving there. I could also Block Rooms at Local hotels/Motels. If Steve can get his group together to plan the rides, dealer event at Hal's and Great Lakes dragaway that alone is a bit of work. The only thing I would have to do is start a PayPal account so who ever wants to take part in the Dinner would have to Pre-pay for the Meal like we did for the 20th. |

"Harley had one of the biggest booths at IMS NY, IIRC." I believe he's talking about the 2010 IMS. I heard HD isn't going to have a booth too. As of now. |

Wilson - I need your address, city, state, zip, and phone# for the list. My project is sitting now as a frame, wiring harness, forks, and a front wheel. If she's running before you get a front end put back on yours.. UPS Tracking says the 1250 kit is out for delivery right now (FedEX got my hopes up earlier but it was my roommates' 300ZX parts) In other news, all the info I've received from homecoming volunteers is tucked neatly into an excel table. I'll give everyone a while to get their info emailed before I send the list back out. |

Harley davidson did not have a booth at the Arizona, nor the Northern California show this year. The only thing in Northern cal was a 10 x 10 booth showing the new flat track sportster. In the past , they had a huge display. Victory, yamaha, Kawasaki, had the big booths this year. Victory had the best inside booth. HD did have demos at both shows outside, but nothing inside....rex |

I'll be in Arizona over the AMA weekend, so if it's then, have fun for me. Now if it's planned for another date, then I'm in. |

This whole thing reminds me of the year the 12 Hrs of Sebring race was canceled on account of the national fuel shortage (late 70ies I think). Well, 12,000 showed up at Sebring for the non-race. but a real good party anyway |

I PM'd you last night Court and didn't get the email you mentioned earlier today. Don't forget to count me in. Hell or high water I'll be there. Daves: while I passed your well wishes on to many other BadWeBbers last year I'm sure a lot of people would like to see you rather than the few of us that were at Blackhawk. I hope it works out for everyone's sake because that's a pretty long ride just to hang out for a couple hours. (Message edited by diablobrian on February 04, 2009) |

I hope this works out. I just want to ride with you guys, personally meet a few, and have some drinks and talk Buell. I don't want to take any of you home though, even though it sounds like it |

If it is June 4-6, I will not be able to attend this year. I have two major events with work that weekend. Sunset Magazine celebration, and the Safeway Invitational Golf Tournament. If it happens this weekend, you guys have fun. REX |

Well I guess this thread looks like it will just archive. If you guys are interested in what I can offer awesome if not that fine to. But in two week's I'll be making reservation's to be at either the Victorian Inn or the Osthoff for the weekend of the AMA races. If my reservations are made then I'll be up in Elkhart and cannot be at the bar for Erik to perform there again. So you guys let me know. It all good for me either way. |

We wont do the Hotel thing, it's only 1 1/2 hours back home. And I'd bet I'll have Diablobrian, and no_rice staying with us again(Well, they ARE more than welcome to stay with us at least ). The Great Lakes Dragway thing would definitely work. It's worked the past couple of years, and I PROMISE I'll pre-ride the route this year and not get lost on account of stupid construction! Hey, to my defense, I DID get that dropped in my lap 3 hours before leaving. |

I think a Homecoming event not wrapped around a race weekend would be kinda neat. Ride the area. Not just to and from the races. Actually set up a few different rides and people can pick and choose which ones appeal to them. Probably too late for that now though. |

I agree Rocco. No offense to the racers...But trying to meet/talk to others and watch the race is impossible. Can we get a trackday at Road America sponsored by Buell????? Or Blackhawk???? That'd be sweet. I Just hope this doesn't fall on the first weekend of the month. I can't come if it is, I have my Drill Weekends then. If I do come, I'll be camping this year... |
