OK, so silly me removed the muffler while doing some service to my 99 X1. I was out and around and at a quick stop noticed that the muffler was hanging a bit low in the back. That is when I noticed that bolt came loose and the nut assembly had fallen out. Any ideas where I can find a new nut assembly or how I can get around this dilemma? I already thought about just putting a nut under it, but I will not be able to get a wrench on it to hold when I try to tighten it down. And trust me, I will use some thread locker next time.

Did the bolt just fall out? If so just get another bolt at the hardware store. And maybe use Nylocks instead of Locktite.

You really need the "dogbone" nut plate to put it back together..I'm pretty sure I have rear HW kits in stock at the store, ping me there, sales @ americansportbike dot com.
