Author Message   Timn Posted on Saturday, January 10, 2009 - 09:45 pm:        I have been looking for a uly since a test rode one a little over a year ago. I ran across one i could not pass up. 2008 with 1200 miles. The only catch is has some light crash damage.My biggest concern, and maybe some one can help me with is one of the exhaust header pipes is dented in about halfway. I don't know how that will affect the performance. Where can i find a used replacement? What years would work. I also have to replace the hand warmer switch, right front fender mount, seat, right mirror,misc hardware and polish some sratches out of the airbox and fly screen. I know i am probably forgetting something. I don't think there was any difference between model years on the headers. You should be able to pick up a set on fleabay or in the classified section here. While you are swapping them out, I'd have them jet hotted for heat abatement. There was a few changes over the years to the materials so some look a little different than others, and the euro spec models have a different style, but all of them will bolt on no problem. Getting the headers on and off requires rotating the engine which is time consuming. As long as you've got to do that, this would be a fantastic time to have the new headers ceramic coated.
