Found this on CL. Click link for pics: $5650 http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/mcy/908568800.ht ml From link: 1992 Buell RS1200 Pearl White w/ RARE 4-Spoke Aluminum PM Wheels!!! VERY RARE Hand Built Motorcycle • Harley Sportster 1200 eng w/ 5 Spd. Trans • Less than 75 made in ’92 • Only 216 total made (1989 – 1993) Lots of engine work done • Ported and Polished Heads • S&S Super “E” Carb • M/C Ignition Fully adjustable suspension - Inverted Front Forks with PM 6 Piston Front Brake, and Old Style White Bros Shock. I bought this bike several years ago to restore it, but have never gotten the time to, so, I’m in hopes of someone with the appreciation and love to put her back to her original glory. Bike hasn’t been started in a couple of years and has been stored in a heated garage ready for someone to bring her back to life. The engine ran VERY STRONG but did puff a little when in sitting in traffic on hot days. The previous owners were preparing it to run on the track and did some frame mods, that would need a little TLC to be put back to stock, on the rear of the bike, for the tail to fit. Bike is sold "as is". PLENTY of power!!! Would consider a trade for towards an 1125R or a Harley Sportster 2002 - 2003. |

I agree. I'm not game at $5,600 but confess to taking a close look at it. |

Totally unrelated...what would be considered a good price for a complete, running, RSS1200? Only because I know where one is...heheh |

Pretty sure that bodywork is the stuff from my RS that I sold last year. The striping and the broken corner of the tank at the gas switch rocker is identical, as near as I can tell from the photos on the link. I could be mistaken. (broken tank corner is common on that model.) Mine's complete and running - but VERY UN-RS looking! Yo Bart - is that your bike for sale? |
