Special thanks to Brian (Buckinfubba) for taking the time and putting forth the effort to do this. Brian used one bike to test the two mufflers head to head. He rode the bike after changing the muffler in order to reset the AFV. Please stand by as I attempt to move the original post from an archived location where I incorrectly *assumed* it would bring the post back to active status. Thanks again for your hard work Brian. Brian, I’m not complaining mind you, but I feel that the O’l Drummer has gotten a tad louder during the time that I have had it on. Whatever was done when you performed your magic, is that a possibility? I have had a slight head cold as of late and my ears may have been the reason, just wondering and Drumming along happily. Thanks

yeah it does just get a hair louder. I figure it is just the packing settling in hell I don't know. but We did an interesting thing. After we did the dyno test between the drummer and the d&d. we tore my drummer apart for 2 reasons. Mine was ugly because the welds on my pipe were strictly prototype welds and I wanted what you all are getting. well this is 3 thousand miles on my bike and we took a look just to see if kevins lil packing trick was working well. I am proud to say it was all still there and not blown out at all. so all is well and the packing is working like a charm. just some more work and dilligence from the lil dummer boys. I believe the packing is there for life. mind you this is also after a total of 60 dyno runs also. all is well |
