Just curious if the bikes produced for sale overseas have a three position headlight switch: "Off - Low - High?"

If so, does the off position also kill the "Euro" (parking) light?

TIA.

I only wish we had the option to choose what lights we had on and when.

Bloody European safety rules, I blame Volvo for starting it.

If I was less lazy I'd go through the hassle of sourcing the US switchgear and fitting it.
I have wondered if the standard heated grip switch could be fitted for that purpose?

So it's the same as the US models, Hoon? Just Low or High?

Yeah, just dipped beam or high beam.

We've not been able to choose no lights or just side lights (the small parking light bulb) for a few years now.

I presumed in the states you could choose still.

Hopefully someone will do the heated grip switch mod and post a 'how to' on here.

Mount one of these and run all your lights into it! : )

Interesting. A couple of my buddies here in the states who have KTM 950 Adventures have purchased the KTM Euro headlight along with the Euro switch. It has an "OFF" position.

The only reason I was interested is because I have my low beam HID relay controlled by the "Euro" circuit. About one time in 20 when I switch the key "on," the HID ballast does not ignite. All I have to do is simply cycle the key and the ballast will ignite. I was thinking it would just be a bit easier if I could cycle the "Euro" circuit via the headlight switch.

No big deal. I can continue to use the key when necessary.

Froggy,
That's the idea!

Anyone know if older Buells used the same switchgear (with proper light switch) which could be retro-fitted?

Here in the good old US of A the option of headlights on or off disappeared with the 1979 models IIRC. I'm reasonably certain this was at the federal level.

Bloody 'ell!

Looks like I need another old Honda if I want to turn my lights off then.
Never mind, it's no biggie.

Do what I did, somehow blow the lowbeam! Everyone will keep saying you got a headlight out, but you will never believe them! : )
