Just wanted to say thanks to Liberty Buell / HD in Rahway NJ for putting on a nice day of bikes, food, band and demo rides last Saturday. I especially enjoyed the Buell book signing by Court and Dave. I think Court has a switch that you flip and the endless Buell stories just flow out. Met lots of other BadWebber it was fun to put a face with the web handle. I also know a secret (well it was to me). A certain BMW F650 rider has returned to the fold with a new Uly. |

It was a ball . . . perfect weather, great folks, great food and just a fabulous day. I enjoy sharing the stories and each time Dave and I get together we realize we hardly scratched the surface. . . . I hope I didn't bore you guys . . . we got on a roll and Dave had a fabulous time. I got the "Court, it's time for my Dad to come home" call yesterday from a precocious 12 year old who explained . . . "we have things to do here". I assured her Pops was in great shape and heading her way at just shy of the speed of sound . . . he made it in time for his 2:30 event. >>>A certain BMW F650 rider has returned to the fold with a new Uly. Ahhhh yes and Dave rode the BMW for it's last outing. . . . I am going to deliver it to it's new owner this week and it looks like we may have another Buell headed for our house. Thanks to everyone who came out . . . . Court P.S. - I am sad to say that all the photos I took were consumed by the electronic gremlins. One I was eager to share was the Liberty HD/Buell parts guy. I went to order a Ulysses under seat bag and handle bar bag and lo and behold his response . . . . ala Staples . . . "Yeah, we've got that" and he went in the back and returned with the underseat bag. Very cool. the handlebar bag will be here this week. Neat deal. |

it looks like we may have another Buell headed for our house. Would you care to elaborate on that? Are you getting your S2 back? Are you buying another bike? Is Vickie getting a Blast? Did the Barney Bike find its way back home? Or is it a Top Secret New Model that you're getting for Real World Testing?(I'd be willing to give you a hand with that, if you're pressed for time) |

Are you getting your S2 back? - now that Land Speed Racing season is winding down perhaps . . . but I am leaning toward riding it back. I really miss it . . .what a bike and I can't wait (I've gotten neat reports) to ride it at 111 RWHP) Are you buying another bike? - Looks like it Is Vickie getting a Blast? - We're looking for one. Jose is following up on that Blast that HD of Washington had. I sold the BMW and the guy who bought it lives next to the dealer that had that Blast. I think the Blast would be an elegant bike for her. She tried the low the other day and it's just too darn tall. Did the Barney Bike find its way back home? - Don't we wish . . . what a legend Barny was !! Or is it a Top Secret New Model that you're getting for Real World Testing?(I'd be willing to give you a hand with that, if you're pressed for time) - . . . there were 5 cases of stuff from East Troy sitting here last night when I got home. . . look . . . it's my job to shake, rattle and roll so that folks on the internet don't spout out the "raced to market too soon" digs. How'd you like those bags Saturday? >>>I want to know how you keep them old boots from smelling Chicks. . . they all hate my boots. My wife and Mrs. Buell were here last night as I was leaving for school . . . .as I was putting on my boots they started laughing . . . my fragile ego went into a downward spiral as they teased me about my boots. All I can say is that after herding Buells through 44 states them babies feel like bedroom slippers and Gaerne no longer makes them. The boots stay and I just make it a point to ride out in the fresh air.

Kathy- It was nice talking with you. It is encouraging to see women riding Buells. They appear intimidating but they are really easy to ride. As you know riding confidence is an important part of riding safely. I'll keep taking Lisa to Buell events and maybe someday she develop an interest. Right now I'm happy I got her to move from a 250 Nighthawk up to a SV650. Who knows in a couple of years she may be swayed to the Lighting with the translucent red air box (she loves that). I'd also like to thank you and the other women that work as MSF instructors. Lisa took the course and had a great woman instructor. I don't think she would be riding now without her guidance. Hope to see you at another Buell event. Wes |

but I am leaning toward riding it back. That has the makings of another S2 across the country event. I would love to be able to ride with you for a few miles. Frank

Wes, thanks here is a cool link for your wife, don't know if you know about it or not, one of my most admired riders rides an SV Sport version she trains people to become instructors and turned me on to the link. http://forum.svrider.com/ K |
