I wear the jacket and it has been through 9k miles of travel with me. If you wear the liner you will be mostly dry in hard down pours. Great longevity and will hold up to a lot of abuse. It has been to 112 and down to 0 in my riding and I was burning up and freezing cold with the jacket on, lol. I do however compare all my current buys to it though. I just picked up an Olympia Voyager jacket for $138 big ones and we will see how it holds up compared to my "Still in Service" Buell adventure jacket. Oh yeah, and the Olympia is 100% water proof, double seemed and taped zippers, over flaps and scotched, with a water resistant, fleeced lined inner. I believe Joe Rocket makes them? Not sure, but almost..... hehe (Message edited by slowride on September 20, 2008) |

Lovin' mine still. Been used nearly every day for fifteen months now and if it hadn't been crash tested it wouldn't have a mark on it. It can be washed in a washing machine too. I use a HD rain suit when the rain comes, so I really have never tried it for water proof. |

They crash test well! They did fine in the rain, but can't hold a candle to the waterproofness of my Roadcrafter 1 piece. http://froggypwns.com/images/Bike%20wrecks/2007-10 -18/index.html Pics of the suit at the bottom. |

You may want to read this review of the Buell adventure gear. http://onewheeldrive.net/index.php?option=com_cont ent&task=view&id=852&Itemid=1 http://onewheeldrive.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=855&Itemid=1 (Message edited by keyser_soze on September 21, 2008) |

I sprayed my adventure pants with tent sealant because they wicked some moisture. The only place I got water through afterwards was the zippers for the ventilation panels - they aren't covered with a flap, so they let some water in. Other than that, though, I've been happy with them (wear them with a Vanson leather, or FXRG textile, jacket). |

Aerostich/RiderWearHouse suggests that you use something like CampDry to help with water proofing.Works well on my Stich. |

Ratbuell-How well do the trousers vent? Seems like the vent patches are on the tops of the thighs and not much on the shins. |

The trouser vents are OK, not great....but unzipping the armour compartments will flow some serious air. The compartments are tight enough that I don't worry about armour flying out if the worst happens. |
