Just bit the bullet...new tires are on their way and a tire changer as well...I love watching Eric fight with the tires...and have no ambition to go through that pain every time I need new tires... |

Sully~ Wazzzzzz Up! yea your map is in there. we got some cool tricks we could do to get more now, since we are running EcmSpy....Full control of everything in the ECM. JP what did ya get for a tire changer? Snap-On? I only fight when I do not have all my tools needed. It is laborsome at times though... (Message edited by firebolteric_ma on May 14, 2008) |

I think it's the same one Jim got...with the m/c tire attachment...$112 shipped. Should get it the 28th...just in time to get the new tires on and get the bike inspected...just in time... Another b-day...another year older! |

OK so the starter switch can cause much agrivation! Leaving to go to work this morning and it was a bit on the funny side but the bike started on the third push of the button...so off to work I went. Leaving work....nothing! I bit of pushing...and it started up and got it home...checked the relay - that was fine...so back to the book to see what was involved in opening up the switch on the throttle handle...of course after I look at the pics and realize there really isn't much to screw up...I decide to open it up and check out the wiring...then I notice it - big warning saying that the switches can't be fixed individually, you must replace the entire assembly. WTF!?!?!? Well...it already doesn't work...so I can't hurt it more by taking it apart... Turns out the starter switch CAN be fixed...the connecting wire had just enough corrosion on it to not carry any juice...a little cleaning and putting back together...bike starts fine now...no need to buy a new switch assembly! That's one for me and big fat FU to the book! |

I have a 2005 XB9R Firebolt that is plagued with a bad case of cataracts. I sent Eric a PM to find out about headlight bracket you guys have developed and he referred me to NEBO. Due to the condition of my headlights, I have been unable to attend the Myrtle Beach bike week, riding in the dark, a safety issue. I have the Hella 90’s in hand but I’m not too crazy about cutting/JB Welding the OEM bracket to accommodate the Hella assemblies. I’m in desperate need of a Hella friendly bracket. Can any of you be so kind to hook me up with information as to how I might acquire a bracket or diagram of the Hella bracket assembly? Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated. it is always something.... I stripped the threads on my clutch inspection cover. I used a torque wrench but the manual torques were to high I guess. Is this fixable or do I have to replace the primary cover??? |
